ABOUT IAN
They say that only 10% of an Iceberg is visible – the rest is hidden from view. Now, we’re not suggesting that Ian has icy depths, but there is far more to him than meets the eye! Coming to commercial photography from a self-taught & professionally mentored angle and via a totally different profession; Ian does things differently - his ability to say it like it is, to ignore egos and to make things happen, means that clients return for new work over and over and over again...
Several years ago Ian took the make-or-break decision to leave the security of paid employment to embark on his voyage into entrepreneurship and, with the assistance of several internationally known photographers ( including the late, great, David Facey) - Ian’s career as a photograper literally took-off. Gaining several aerial and studio based commissions - his work-ethic quickly became recognised by clients (particularly due to his no nonsense approach and empathy with commissioning buyers) creating images on time, in budget and to specification - first time. Ian is now a sought after commercial photographer working across a range of disciplines; particularly within the realms of active lifestyle and adventure sports - and mainly for commercial clients.
Ian's impressive client and publication list continues to develop along with his portfolio, with the arrival of the new “3 Degrees West” project and with several other services in pipeline – Ian and the team at BDi are, without question, the team to deliver the 'Seeing is believing' mantra...
